To get here by car from Vancouver, you will need to take a ferry from the mainland (Tswwassen or Horseshoe Bay), then drive up island to Campbell River and catch the car ferry to Quadra Island. BC Ferries runs daily scheduled trips for both vehicles and walk-on passengers between ports on BC’s mainland and Vancouver Island. From Vancouver, you can catch the ‘Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo’ ferry or the ‘Tswwassen to Duke Point’ ferry.

Driving directions from ferry terminal dock once you have arrived on Quadra Island
From the ferry ramp, continue driving up the hill and turning left onto Harper Road. Take your first right turn onto Heriot Bay Road, then your first left onto West Road. Drive along West Road until you come to Gowlland Harbour Road and turn left. Follow until you see the Gowlland Harbour Resort sign and driveway on the left at 823 Gowlland Harbour Road.

Ferry service from the United States to Victoria, BC is offered on the high-speed catamaran, Victoria Clipper; the MV Coho; or Washington State Ferries from various ports in Washington. Victoria is located on the southern end of Vancouver Island and is approximately a three-hour drive to Campbell River.

Getting Here By Air
Getting here by air is only a 45-minute direct flight from Vancouver International Airport to Campbell River Airport (YBL). From there, it’s a 15-minute (approx. 12 kms) drive by shuttle or taxi to the Campbell River ferry terminal, and a 12-minute car ferry ride to Quadra Island. Once landed on Quadra Island, the drive to Gowlland Harbour Resort is approx. 15 minutes.
From the Campbell River Airport there is a regular shuttle that runs between the airport and town (where the ferry terminal is). Best to prebook by phone at (250) 914-1010/toll-free: 1-855-787-8294 or email: crairportshuttle@gmail.com. The cost is usually $20 one way but please make sure to confirm the rate when you book. For passengers who need a ride from the Quadra Ferry Terminal to the Resort, please call the resort and we can help you pre-arrange that when you book your stay.
